Sarah Cawood appeared on BBLB today wearing what at first glance appeared to be an insanely short skirt, and of course, it was soon the hot topic on many of the Big Brother forums.  “Almost pornographic”, “knicker flashing – the last refuge of the desperate female” and “she looks like a prostitute,” were just a few of the outrageous comments on Digital Spy.  Charming.

According to Sarah's Twitter page, what she was actually wearing was a £45 playsuit from Topshop.  Shorts and a top in other words.  Which got us thinking... would a man wearing a pair of shorts get the same reaction?  Surely not?  There was no doubt that Sarah's choice of outfit was designed to get her noticed, and let's face it, she has great legs (Sarah was a trained ballet dancer), but in the context of the demographic at which Big Brother's Little Brother is aimed, it was pretty tame and certainly didn't warrant the backlash from viewers.

Sarah Cawood's “short skirt” raised eyebrows amongst some Big Brother viewers.  Perhaps they should've gone to Specsavers.

Chloe Potter has been presenting Sky News late shifts recently, which is a little unusual because she's usually behind the camera in her role of producer.

Perhaps Sky are making budget cuts when it comes to their overnight staff, but whatever the reason, Chloe is an outstanding presenter and her engaging, relaxed delivery coupled with her beautiful accent puts many of Sky News' senior presenting staff to shame.  Chloe has done some location reporting but we'd like to see her spend a lot more time in front of the camera where her personality and journalistic skills can come to the fore.

Chloe is an accomplished and experienced producer with huge potential on the production side of things, and likewise as a presenter. All that, coupled with her classical, “English rose” good looks means she's our hot tip for the future and will undoubtedly become a household name.

Chloe Potter has great things ahead of her at Sky News and is certainly a star of the future.

The Adios Max commercial is a good lesson in how to make a memorable advert, all you have to do is get a hot model to dance around in her knickers.

Of course, the end result also happens to be that you've completely missed your target audience, most of whom are women too fat to get out of bed let alone dance down the street, and not guys like the one in the advert or the ones watching at home, who just happen to appreciate a nice bum in some stripy pants.

Adios is supposed to be the UK's best-selling slimming tablet “helping women everywhere to say 'Adios' to weight they don't want!” Who knew that the side-effects would be the attentions of a nosey old woman and the unfortunate habit of forgetting to wear your skirt when you go out.  Whoops!

Take Adios Max and risk dancing down the street in your knickers. It must be the Adios effect!

Thaila Zucchi's 'How Hard is Your Thing?' strand in the most recent series of Sky One's Brainiac has to go down as the finest example of innuendo for many a year.  Not since we last saw Mrs. Slocombe's pussy have so many double entendre been loaded into one programme.

Thaila has cornered the market when it comes to brunette sex-bombs, her recent credits include a lap-dancer in the cult comedy Not Going Out, as Balls of Steel's bunny boiler and as a model in FHM's Do You Think I'm Sexy?  Her list of commercials include Pepsi Max and, of course, Setanta Sports with Des Lynam “look, it's Setanta, not sultana or Santana...”  We like the way she never seems to take herself too seriously, and in case you were wondering, Thaila Zucchi is pronounced “tai-la zoo-key”.

For Brainiac, Thaila has been testing the “hardness” of various objects, then placing them in order.  “It looks pretty hard, what is it?” “It's my cast-iron cockerel.”  So you can see where this is going!  “How hard do I rank it?  Hard... ish.”  It's jaw-dropping 1970s smut, albeit with contemporary, sparkling high definition gloss.  You try not to laugh and you know Mary Whitehouse wouldn't have approved, but it's really funny all the same.

If you're a Thaila fan, keep an eye on the new series of Skins on E4 and Channel 4, in which she plays a character called Cheryl, and the upcoming fourth series of Hotel Babylon, both of which will be broadcast in HD.

Sophie Raworth and Fiona BruceSusanna Reid, Fiona Bruce and Sophie Raworth broke out the tight lyrca catsuits and platform heels for this year's BBC Children in Need to perform two songs from the ABBA musical Mamma Mia.

It was Susanna Reid's first opportunity to dress up for charity as a member of the BBC News team, but her inclusion was a last minute one as Kate Silverton, a member of the original line-up suffered a slipped disc in her back after falling into a hole during filming in Kenya for Big Cat Live.  Here at Telly Toad we think Susanna's a fantastic presenter and it's about time she was given more of the limelight, so every cloud has a silver lining. As things turned out, she also put in what was quite easily the best, and sexiest performance.

Fiona Bruce and Sophie Raworth are no strangers to making spectacles of themselves on Children in Need, with Bruce previously dressing in miniskirt and fishnets (2007), and gold hotpants (2006) and Raworth donning fishnets for a Rocky Horror Picture show medley back in 2002.

Sophie Raworth found the tight costume this year difficult to come to terms with.  “It’s actually quite revealing because it clings to every curve. It’s so tight, I can barely raise my arm, and sitting down is virtually impossible” she told the Daily Mail.  By Fiona Bruce's standards however, the costume, replicating the ones ABBA wore around the time of their 1974 Eurovision Song Contest win, was the most demure in recent memory.

Fiona Bruce on Children in NeedFiona Bruce raised temperatures with her sexy song and dance routine on BBC Children in Need in November 2007, a performance we celebrate ahead of this year’s charity extravaganza.

Best-known as a BBC newsreader and presenter of Crimewatch and The Antiques Roadshow, Fiona Bruce, dressed in heels and black fishnets for the programme, was quoted as saying that her costumes for the charity event were getting smaller by the year...

Those in the know dubbed her ‘Fifi LaBruce’, as a result of the performance from the musical Chicago.

In 2008, she’ll join Susannah Reid, Sophie Raworth and other members of the BBC News team for a tribute to ABBA, but unfortunately the trend of skimpy constumes won't be continuing, their outfits are said to be straight from ABBA’s Waterloo era, the absolute worst fashion-wise.
